Legion is DUST 514 and the game magazines have already rated it. Those that would've played it have tried it. I have concerns for a game company that cant port Unreal onto the PS4 or X box ! . Hardcore FPS players have judged this game based on its performance. Those 2.5k peak player base will be conservatively halved if they even move or much less can afford too.
I have real world concern about the ethics of a company that would do this to there player base. In looking at this companies track record with past projects we see a trend of failure and a stand alone that's best traits are player driven and all the others have failed. Valkyrie and any future projects that CCP considers will have this massive blight as well as others to contend with along with crushed consumer confidence.
Gamers are gamers regardless of platform and as such its doubtful IMO that a polished version of DUST renamed will be met with some epic reception by the PC community when DUST community of regular long term players are those of you or those who have played EVE online and own PC's as well.
IMO Project Legion is a joke. It'll take more than haze and a tree or a still frame pic thru a bay door to bring any real player immersion.You forget that PC game consumers are alot harsher Critiqs of trash when something is trash.
I guess we can chalk this one up to walking in stations, world of darkness, and now DUST in its long list of fails.
Im also thinking you should get some of your people into some drug rehab programs starting with Praetorian to keep the rest of us from suffering from his grandiose pipe dreams.
CCP last keynote stated they are not abandoning 514, they had another 514 keynote talking about progression plans for dust 514, and if you want to play legion you can port your toon, sp, isk,and progression to legion.
If this isn't enough to make you happy please go back to WOW and play with pandas. CCP made some of the most jaw dropping announcements at fanfest that even had twitch chat getting along and playing nice with each other in all the excitement.
It's very clear CCP intent is to focus on EVE and the EVE universe for the first time in years or at least since I can remember, and you still have whine on the forums? Sony made the PS4 for the future of there games. CCP devs said in the interview with mimic that it doesn't make sense to start on a new consoles because they can make a better and more lasting product bringing it to PC, and make all there new games all apart of the one universe we all know and love. |
